Meka is an official Mesa carrier in the Munay ki Q'ero Shaman tradition & trained by a Siberian Shaman from a long line of Black Sky/White Sky Shamans. Meka lived and performed in Kyoto, Japan from Jan. 2007- April 2010. Her main collaborator was singer/songwriter/bass player Yukari Ikeda in their project Origami Girls. Together Yukari & Meka appeared all over Japan and a tour of Florida in 2009. They made several television appearances on "Go on" Kyoto College Television, Going Kobe Music Festival meeting with the Mayor of Kobe on Japanese News.  Ms. Meka Nism & Ikeda Yukari played 150 live shows as the duo and as solo artists and released 10 singles and a music video for their Halloween Hit "Zombie Grrrls" . They shared the stage with drummers around Japan and took the great Eri Takeda from band Penumbra to tour in America with them.  Meka is planning on releasing a collection of Origami Girls Songs and other recordings from her time in Japan from 2007-10, 2016 and beyond in the near future!
